  • Wheat Kurdai Papad – 200gms

    £3.50

Wheat Kurdai is a traditional Indian sun-dried snack made from wheat. These delicate, spiral or noodle-like fryums are light, crispy, and expand beautifully when deep-fried. Popular in many Indian households, especially during summer preparations, Wheat Kurdai is enjoyed as a crunchy accompaniment with meals or as a snack. 🌾🍽️

Process to Prepare Wheat Kurdai from Raw Kurdai

    1. Heat the oil – Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan or kadai on medium heat.

    2. Add raw Kurdai – Gently place the raw wheat kurdai into the hot oil.

    3. Deep fry – Fry for a few seconds; the kurdai will quickly expand and become light and crispy.

    4. Turn if needed – Flip once to ensure even frying.

    5. Remove and drain – Take it out when it turns crisp and lightly golden, and place on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.

    6. Serve – Enjoy hot as a crunchy snack or as a side with meals.

✨ Tip: Sprinkle a little chilli powder, chaat masala, or black pepper for extra flavour.
